2015 what a year!

  • Remynisce won GOLD at the Golden Horseshow 120kms in May with Susan Hawes, and the Faranoush Trophy for Best Conditioned. Rem also won the Crabbet-related Endurance Horse of the Year trophy.
  • Kalish won her first international FEI* race over 80kms at first attempt.
  • Colt Shaarif born in May - the third generation of Australian Crabbet progeny at Gadebrook.
  • His sire Kaalif won the Sport horse class at the National Show and almost wiped the board in hand and under saddle at the Crabbet Show at Equifest and won Binley Rose Bowl.
  • Yearling filly Mazaria won Youngstock Championship at Equifest.
  • 2-yr old Bismillah sold to a lovely endurance home.
  • Crystal Magic, bred at Gadebrook, appointed AHS Premium stallion; his 3-yr old filly bred by Spirit Arabians gained only Elite at 2015 BEF Futurity Evaluations.
  • At the 2015 Crabbet Performance Awards, Gadebrook won the Endurance breeder of the year award; at the AHS National Performance Horse Awards Binley Prince Salim was Reserve Champion pure Arab and High Points dressage winner
  • Anne appointed to AHS Council and made editor of the "Arab Horse News"
 
       
  Kaalif triumphed under saddle at Crabbet show at Equifest in August 2015 and won Sports Horse class at National Arab Show in July; now starts in endurance  
       
  FEI** endurance stallion and Advanced Medium dressage stallion Binley Prince Salim qualified for RASS finals and Dressage Regional Championships; Dressage successes at Malvern and Equifest. 6-yr old daughter Silver Sunbeam now for sale for breeding  
       
  FEI* endurance mare Kalish enjoyed Trec Day - Pony Club for adults!  
       
  Bright Dawn (2006), bred and raised at Gadebrook came 11th out of 52 in Man versus Horse Race, in mid-Wales, June 2015, ridden by owner Sue Loveridge  
       
 

A life-size-and-a-half bronze statue to Sambist by sculptor Hamish Mackie was unveiled in London in June, see Report. Photo (right) is a limited edition 15 cm high scale model of the statue.

We celebrate Sambist's Premium Arab "Racing Sire of the Year" Trophy which he won for the 10th time in 2015 - a record!. Reports of last year's win in the on-line magazine "Horse Reporter" click HERE. His son LB Armanii won the Premium Racing Progeny title for 2014 and will compete in Open Endurance in 2016. Sambist's daughter LB Farrah (photo) won Premium Racing Progeny 2015 for Teresa Gavin.

Sambist's son Samba B (out of AHS Premium mare Jazmyn) won top Endurance Two Year Old at the BEF Futurity Evaluations 2014, for owner Sarah O'Neill, click HERE and another Higher First Premium as a 3-yr old in 2015. Now under saddle.

 
       
 

Having completed her year as President of the Arab Horse Society (view article HERE and photos of presentations at AHS National Show, Malvern 2014 and other duties HERE), Anne now joins the AHS Council and is appointed Editor of the ‘Arab Horse News’. She remains administrator of the annual AHS Performance Horse Awards.

Australian-bred pure Crabbet colt Palermo and pure Crabbet filly Palmyra sold to Moonlight Arabians, a top Crabbet stud. Congratulatons to Natalie and Mark Tindall.

We congratulate Dom and Jan Atkinson of Seren Arabians on the purchase of Palma Benay’s smart colt, Dandini by Marbon Masadi, who joins their stud in Cumbria. For video clips of him in early December 2014 before departure click HERE

 
       
  Sambist's straight Russian filly Mariska (x GAS Pepelka) sold as a yearling in 2014 to Dr Larry Cohen, in the USA to be trained at Patti Bailey's Phase II - Fast Track farm.
