Jazmyn

1993-2012
We lost Jazmyn in December 2012 and miss her greatly.

1993 Chestnut mare (Kasadi x Sophy), bred at Harwood Stud, joined Gadebrook Stud from Kit Rolfe who achieved so many wins in BSJA, ridden and dressage classes with this lovely AHS Premium mare.

She and her full brothers, Vikta and Cezare, appeared frequently in the top five AHS Performance table. Jazmyn was jointly owned by Anne Brown and her cousin Alan Brooks.

Jazmyn had dressage wins at Preliminary, Novice, Elementary, and Medium levels and was 5th in the 1999 Open Novice British Dressage championships. In hand, she won at the Suffolk County show and been champion at the Norfork and Suffolk show.

Under saddle, she won numerous championships and been Reserve Supreme Ridden Champion at AHS regional level. She was 6th at Horse of the Year Show in 2002 and was Open Points Champion of the Norfolk and Suffolk AHS group in 2003.

Jazmyn with 2010 filly Mandarine by Sambist

Jazymn foaled a fine grey colt, Remynisce, to the American Living Legend and World Arab Horse winner, Remington Steele *++, in May 2007, his first foal to be born in Britain. In June 2008 she produced Sakr, a stunning liver chestnut colt by Sambist

In April 2010, she produced a delightful full sister to Sakr, called Mandarine (left) by Sambist.

In May 2011 Jazmyn produced a third sibling, a lively chestnut colt, Tango.

In May 2012 she had her final foal by Sambist, bay colt Samba B, now owned by Sarah O'Neill, in Northumberland.

Fiona Dillon is the happy new owner of Sakr, known as Minstrel at home; Kathy Mclellan has snapped up Mandarine. Marie Baker is the doting owner of Tango and plans an endurance future for him.
