Silvern Sceptre

SILVERN SCEPTRE

The life of this wonderful stallion was sadly cut short by a tumour, which first forced him to give up his illustrious show career in hand and under saddle, then finally his stud duties.

The tragedy of his early death is even more poignant when we see the meteoric rise of his sons, especially the young stallion PHA Silvern Risalm who has won supreme championships in all the top competitions - Horse of the Year show, UK International, Arab Horse Show, Royal Windsor and in 2005 was awarded the first World Arab Horse Organisation "Horse of the Year" accolade.

His half-brother, the grey gelding Silvern Enchanter, has been almost equally successful and my home-bred Silver Spectre is set to follow their lead. Sceptre was bred from the best English and Crabbet bloodlines by the Duchess of Rutland at Belvoir Stud.

Bought and shown brilliantly by Jean and David Peck at Paslow Hall Arabians, he passed to Gadebrook on the Pecks' emigration to the States. The stock Sceptre has left us are greatly treasured.
