A bay endurance mare (born 2004) by AHS
Premium stallion Crystal Magic
(who was also bred at Gadebrook) out of British National Champion
Kumasha.
Kalish now starting Endurance career with Affinity Training.
Kalish took Rebecca Parsler to second place nationally
in the 2017 Pony Club Endurance Championship as reported
in the Endurance GB Magazine, below. Rebecca is bringing
Kalish to the AHS Centenary Parade of Ridden Champions at
the National Horse Racing Museum 2018

'Horse & Hound' covered Kalishs first attempt
at a CEI* 80km International race at The Royalties in October
2015, ridden by Richard Allen - which she won! Her seven-year
old son, Hussam by Sambist, also competed at the event,
but at Novice level.
Kalish then competed in a CEI** 120km race in Brittany
in November.
Kalish competes bare foot and carries
riders of all weights - no offence Richard - and in all
sorts of competitions, such as Trec below.

Kalish came third out of 17 in 50-mile
section of 2013 British National Endurance Championships
on 13 July at King's Forest in sweltering heat of 27 degrees
Ridden by Susan Hawes.
|
Kalish has all his energy, speed and powerful
movement, combined with the affectionate nature and elegance of
her dam, the lovely Kumasha who, in her day, was a triple National
Champion Ridden Mare: at the AHS Show at Malvern; at the UK International
and at the Horse of the Year Show.

Kalish produced a striking bay colt to our
Premium stallion Sambist in April 2008 named Hussam
- the fourth generation of Gadebrook breeding.

We hope 9-year old home-bred mare Kalish will
move from Advanced level endurance to FEI* after two more
80 kms Rides. Her success under saddle last year in endurance,
ridden by Caroline Hawes, earned them 4th place in the Junior
national Performance Horse Awards at first attempt.
Hussam, Kalish's son by Sambist, is now 5
and will come out in Novice endurance this year.

Kalish is also ridden by Susan
Hawes - normally seen on our Binley Prince Salim. She finds
her very forward going and tireless.

Kalish was backed in summer 2007 and
went well under saddle. Trainer Kit Rolfe's helper, Jodie
introduced her to jumping which she enjoys.
